I truly believe that there’s no group of people more passionate about their hobby than gamers. We dedicate entire rooms and spaces of our homes to showing off our love of a favorite game, console, etc.
So when I was approached by Xreart about their products, I just knew I had to share them with you guys! Anyone into retro gaming will seriously geek out for their deconstructed console art.
Xreart graciously sent me one of their Game Boy Pocket wall art pieces to check out. And I immediately gave it to my boyfriend as a little bonus Christmas gift because I knew he would love it.

Xreart Gameboy Art Review
Olivia has always been a phenomenal gift-giver. But I have to say, this framed Game Boy Pocket takes the cake!
If you (or the person you’re looking to gift this to) are anything like me, then this Game Boy holds a very special place in your heart.
A Game Boy was my very first gaming console! I never knew at that point that it would be opening me up to a world of gaming, a lifelong hobby, and, not to be dramatic but change my life.
Upon receiving it, I was in awe of just how carefully the Game Boy was taken apart and mounted in the frame.
Their website states, “We guarantee all electronic components in the frame are from the original device.”
As far as I can tell, it appears to be a genuine Game Boy that has been dismantled and placed in the frame.
The internals are clearly real, and the externals appear to have minor signs of wear and tear that lead me to believe they are also original.
It’s the PERFECT size for setting on a desk or mounting it ( alongside a few others😉) with the rest of your gaming setup.
It measures 12.9 inches by 12.9 inches, and it is 1.5 inches deep. The frame is high quality and made of metal.
The glass is super clear, so there is no issue viewing the art inside!
It came shipped very securely in a fitted box that was then placed in a bubble mailer.
According to Olivia, shipping time was fairly quick, at just over a week for it to arrive. But, of course, shipping times will vary depending on where you are in the world.
And even if the Game Boy didn’t have an immense amount of meaning to me, this would still be a great gift purely based on the cool factor that comes with being able to display it!
After Olivia gave me the framed Game Boy, I quickly went to the Xreart website.
I had assumed that they did other consoles, but I was surprised to see just how many they have in a lot of the iconic colors!
Not only did they have the Game Boy Pocket, but they also have:
- Original Game Boy
- Game Boy Color
- Game Boy Advance
- Game Boy Advance SP
- And even the Switch!
I adore retro tech as a whole, and eventually, I’d like to own all of them and create a gallery wall of retro game decor to complete my gaming setup!
Since the Game Boy Pocket arrived, it has been proudly displayed on my desk, nuzzled up to a couple of working companions. I find myself staring at the frame pretty regularly, remembering happy times from my childhood.
Oh, and one more thing you have to know about: they have DIY kits!
I have some old consoles that don’t work anymore; however, they still look incredible.
These kits are the perfect chance for me to give an item I thought had lost its purpose a whole new life.
Take it from me, if you are looking for a gift to give someone who loves Nintendo, grew up with the Game Boy, or is just interested in retro tech, you absolutely cannot go wrong with giving them this!
It will give them instant nostalgia and remind them of a time that was much simpler than today. And who doesn’t need a little bit of that these days?
