The base game has a default three-limit trait on all Sims created in CAS. Unfortunately, this forces you to create characters that fit specific personalities and archetypes, which isn’t realistic. In real life, people have multiple personality archetypes, and thanks to modders and creators like thepancake1, you can recreate the same in-game. The More Traits in CAS mod breaks the traits restriction, letting you assign your Sims with up to 5 more traits. You can enjoy deeper personalities, richer gameplay, and more realistic reactions. With more personality layers, your Sims will behave in more interesting and unexpected ways. This Sims 4 CAS mod is a must-have for storytellers and anyone who wants their Sims to feel like real people.
Follow these steps to install More Traits in CAS on your Sims 4 game:
Download the mod file from the link above. Sims 4 mods typically come as .package or .ts4script files.
Open your Sims 4 Mods folder. The default location is: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods
Place the downloaded file directly into the Mods folder. You can organize mods into subfolders up to one level deep.
Launch The Sims 4 and go to Game Options > Other. Make sure "Enable Custom Content and Mods" is checked.
Restart the game if it was already running. The mod should now appear in your game.
Important: Always back up your save files before installing new mods. After Sims 4 updates, mods may need to be re-downloaded or updated by the creator.
Platform
The Sims 4 (PC/Mac)
Pro tip: If a mod stops working after a game update, check the creator's page for an updated version. Broken mods can cause the game to behave unexpectedly.
