If you want to add a little drama to your Sims 4 household, get the Parent-Child Relationships Mod. This mod makes your children disapprove of any new partners your Sim parent may have. For instance, if your Sim’s partner dies, escapes, or wants a divorce, they can move on and be happier with someone else who has children and doesn’t want to lose any of them. Your Sim parent may have to ask the new partner what they think about your children. In addition, your kids may become jealous, angry, or scared of the new relationship. The mod introduces new parent-child interactions, step-sibling interactions, and new partner interactions.
Follow these steps to install Parent-Child Relationships Mod on your Sims 4 game:
Download the mod file from the link above. Sims 4 mods typically come as .package or .ts4script files.
Open your Sims 4 Mods folder. The default location is: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods
Place the downloaded file directly into the Mods folder. You can organize mods into subfolders up to one level deep.
Launch The Sims 4 and go to Game Options > Other. Make sure "Enable Custom Content and Mods" is checked.
Restart the game if it was already running. The mod should now appear in your game.
Important: Always back up your save files before installing new mods. After Sims 4 updates, mods may need to be re-downloaded or updated by the creator.
