
The Controlled Position CAS Tuning Mod gives you full control over your Sim’s position in Create-A-Sim across all categories. It disables automatic rotation when switching CC or swatches, so your Sim stays facing forward, backward, sideways, or at any angle you choose. This makes detailed CAS editing far smoother, especially when working with outfits, accessories, and custom content. The mod also includes custom fingernail and hand close-up positions (with separate poses for female and male Sims) and lets you control positioning using a mouse, keyboard, or gamepad, with automatic arrows fully disabled. It’s compatible with Stand Still in CAS, works on Mac, and supports children and toddlers with improved camera behavior depending on the version you install. Follow these steps to install Controlled Position – CAS Tuning Mod on your Sims 4 game:
Download the mod file from the link above. Sims 4 mods typically come as .package or .ts4script files.
Open your Sims 4 Mods folder. The default location is: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods
Place the downloaded file directly into the Mods folder. You can organize mods into subfolders up to one level deep.
Launch The Sims 4 and go to Game Options > Other. Make sure "Enable Custom Content and Mods" is checked.
Restart the game if it was already running. The mod should now appear in your game.
Important: Always back up your save files before installing new mods. After Sims 4 updates, mods may need to be re-downloaded or updated by the creator.
