Functional Pottery Wheel is a fully interactive pottery station that lets your Sim create ceramic pieces while developing their crafting skills. The mod introduces a dedicated “Buy Pottery Supplies” interaction where Sims can purchase lumps of clay for 6 simoleons. Larger creations require more clay, and if your Sim is adventurous, they can dig for clay using the special Dirt Pile object found in Debug mode. Digging typically rewards between 8 and 10 lumps of clay. This Sims 4 pottery mod is a must-have in artisan households, historical saves, and hobby-focused gameplay, as it gives creative Sims another skill to master outside of painting or woodworking. The station also comes with ten recolors and includes an optional preference file for players who want Sims to have likes and dislikes related to pottery. Note that if you use the likes and dislikes system, you’ll find Pottery under the Hobbies and Skills category in Create-a-Sim. If there’s no preference selected, the game will occasionally display a pop-up asking whether your Sim likes or dislikes pottery, similar to how other likes and dislikes are assigned. The preference file is completely optional, so you can safely skip it without affecting the functionality of the pottery wheel.
