Instead of fast-moving hordes and arcade-style action, it introduces slow, relentless zombies who gradually take over your world. You can trigger the outbreak through your Sim’s circular menu and watch society collapse across five stages. As the situation worsens, more zombies appear, living NPCs become scarce, schools close, and careers end. Zombies remain within an area for several Sim days, and they react to nearby sounds. They may also gather in groups of up to 12 around your lot. A bite progresses through multiple infection stages before transformation. Your survivors can fight or flee, use weapons to improve their odds, explore abandoned locations for supplies, and recruit rare wandering survivors. Each recruit can take on a useful role, including Doctor, Farmer, Guard, Cook, Hunter, Explorer, or Scavenger.
