Growing old is a privilege, and in the Sims 4, it’s a stage of life that deserves as much style and storytelling as any other. That’s why I’ve created this Sims 4 elder cc list, to help you create elderly Sims who reflect a lifetime of memories and personality.

You’ll get everything, from cozy knitwear and walking canes to wrinkles, body presets, and treasured home decor so you can honor your elder Sim’s meaningful chapter.

Note that some of the custom content and mods on this list require additional Expansion Packs, but the majority are compatible with the base game. Happy Simming!

Princess Of Dress 3

Download: Princess Of Dress 3

If your elder Sim is all about elegance and grace, the Princess Of Dress 3 is a refined choice. This gorgeous full-length dress has long sleeves, a high neckline, and delicate button details just above the chest, which give it a royal yet conservative aesthetic.

I love how the structured waist and soft pleating down the skirt create a flattering silhouette. This is then completed with a hat for a vintage flair (download the hat here). You’ll find this dress in 24 shades, including blue, yellow, green, and black. I recommend using it to create a classy grandma who attends church events, garden tea parties, winter holidays, or everyday, dignified living.

The Big Granny Pack

If you want to give your elder Sim a fresh wardrobe full of personality, comfort, and charm, check out The Big Granny Pack. This set has everything you need to create cozy and elderly-specific outfits for your Sim. This includes cropped pants, a cozy cardigan with button details, a flowy jumpsuit, and low pumps, dress shoes, and blouses.

The pieces blend retro flair with everyday practicality. Every item is available in 10 recolors of warm autumnal tones, muted pastels, and vintage-inspired prints. Note that some of the clothing pieces require additional Expansion Packs, like Cats and Dogs and City Living, to work. I’d use these clothes to create a stylish look for a grandmother. Gradual Aging Wrinkle Set

If you’re looking for a way to add subtle realism to your Sim’s aging journey, the Gradual Aging Wrinkle Set is the perfect pick. This set features two distinct wrinkle stages to create a natural progression between adulthood and elderhood. The first stage has fewer wrinkles, which appear more pronounced on the second stage.

I recommend using stage one during the late years of adulthood before progressing to the second stage. Note that every part of your Sim’s body will show aging, including the hands, which will have dark shade areas. You’ll find the wrinkle overlays in the Face Paint category in CAS. 

Walking Canes

Every time I think of an old person, I picture one with a walking cane, which is why I included this in the list. The cane adds the perfect finishing touch to your elder Sim’s fashion. You’ll get two cane styles: the Ball cane, which has a decorative grip, and the Plain cane for a simpler, more common, classic look.

Each version features two poses:

• The first is held normally with the handle facing backwards for walking support
• The second is held to the front for style.

These canes are designed for all-gender Sims aged teens to elders, and can be found under the Rings category in CAS.

Gray Strands for Hair Accessory

Growing wiser or bald isn’t an indicator of gradual aging anymore, but at least we can rely on the unbeatable gray strands. The Gray Strands for Hair Accessory is a subtle yet powerful set that adds flecks of silver to your Sim’s hairstyle. This gives them a gracefully aged or stylish mature appearance.

You’ll find this add-on in 28 shades to match various hair colors and styles. You’ll find this accessory in the Piercing category in CAS. Use it to show the early signs of aging before fully going gray or white later.

Spend Weekend With

Download: Spend Weekend With

If your adult Sim has kids, having them around 24/7 can be tedious in most cases. Luckily, there’s a mod that allows you to send your kids to someone you know and trust, so you get time to yourself. The Spend Weekend With mod allows you to send household members, such as kids or teens, away to friends or, in this case, extended family members like grandparents.

There’s no need to worry about how long they stay, as you can get them back on command. All these actions can be done via the phone, where a new action under social will pop up once you’ve installed this mod. 

Note that the Sim you’ll choose will be added to the host’s household, which is limited to eight members. Also, remember that you need to empty your Sim’s inventory before you send them away, since the game or other mods can clear NPC’s inventories.

Granny Nightgown

If you’re looking for the perfect pyjama outfit for your elder Sim, check out the Granny Nightgown set. This long-sleeved nightgown brings a charming, old-fashioned vibe to your granny’s closet. It comes in a nostalgic mix of 15 solid swatches, such as gray, pink, purple, and green, and 20 quirky patterned ones, including florals and polka dots.

If you want realistically aged skin to add more character to your legacy gameplay, the Harry Skin is a fantastic choice. This detailed custom content showcases all the hallmarks of aging, including fine lines, sagging textures, and subtle realism, across the face and neck.

You’ll find the skin in 10 shades, ranging from white to ebony, to suit all races. The skin is designed for male Sims aged adult to elder, and you can find it under the Skin Detail category. Note that it’s compatible with both the base game and high-quality game settings.

Grandparents Trait 2.0

If you want to give your Sim a warm, nurturing role that centers around family, the Grandparents Trait 2.0 is a perfect way to start. This trait is designed to bring out the loving grandparent side of your elderly Sim, regardless of whether they have grandkids. The trait enhances your Sim’s interactions with toddlers and kids by encouraging autonomous, family-oriented actions, such as cuddling babies, playing with toddlers, helping a child with homework, and teaching a toddler how to walk or talk. 

There are two versions of this trait: one compatible with the Parenthood EP and the base game version, and you can get only one. Either way, this set gives your Sim a new purpose in life.

Grandpa’s Knit Vest

Nothing says “Grandpa” like a cozy knit vest, and this Grandpa’s Knit Vest is my go-to. It’s a stylish sweater vest available in two versions: a bold Argyle sweater vest and Grandpa’s favorite textured knit. Both versions come in multiple shades, including bright reds, teals, grays, and blues, so you’re spoilt for choice.

Note that these sweaters are remakes of the quirky pet-themed vests from the Cats and Dogs Expansion Pack (which is required to use the sweaters). So, it’s not compatible with the base game (continue browsing and you’ll find other pieces compatible with the base game).

Joseph Skin Light Version

Download: Joseph Skin Light Version

If you’re searching for a realistic skin overlay for your elderly Sim, get the Joseph Skin Light Version. This skin presets highlights all the characteristics of old age, such as saggy, puffy eye bags, wrinkles, and folded skin. The skin is available in 18 light skin colors. There’s a dark skin version that you can download here.

Set N2

Download: Set N2

If you’re looking for detailed, mature skin tones to bring depth and realism to your gameplay, check out the Set N2 custom content. It contains the following:

• Denny’s Skin adds realistic and stylized details to your elder’s skin with wrinkles and folds in all the right places. It’s available in two versions and comes in 12 shades.
• Denny’s Skin Overlay adds sagging skin, crow’s feet, age spots, or deeper laugh lines to your elder’s look. It comes in 1 version only (v1), and you get to choose from 5 swatches.
• Joe’s Face Mask, which is adapted to Denny’s skin, adds an extra layer of realism and definition. It comes in 12 colors.

This skin preset set has everything you need to create an elderly Sim in the base game. You can draw inspiration from the picture above to create your own elder.

Grandma’s Apron

Download: Grandma’s Apron

Everyone loves Grandma’s delicious baking and cooking, and this Grandma’s Apron set reminds me of how my granny used to dress when baking. Now you can recreate that cozy, memorable kitchen moment with it. This charming piece features a classic vintage cut with thick shoulder straps, deep front pockets, and a rounded hemline.

You’ll find it in multiple shades, including festive prints with red polka dots, and plain colors like red and gray. Note that there’s a small issue where the apron meets your Sim’s skirt, but it doesn’t take away the apron’s wholesome charm.

Vanilla

Download: Vanilla

Vanilla is an extensive custom content set featuring some of the best skin presets available. It contains skin presets for all ages and genders, but we’ll focus on the elderly skin. The skin is designed with wrinkles, sagging skin, folded lines, and eye bags to make your elder look as realistic as possible.

Note that Vanilla is a default skin, meaning it will replace all the in-game skins. It also isn’t compatible with other skin defaults, so you can’t mix and match it with other cc’s. 

I suggest downloading this set to use it on Sims of all ages, genders, and body types. You’ll get age-specific detailing like chubby cheeks for teens, an Adam’s apple for teens and older, and wrinkles for adults and older. 

Nursing Homes

Download: Nursing Homes

If you’re looking for a realistic and emotional way to take care of your elder Sim, get the Nursing Homes mod. It allows you to send your grandparent to a specialized facility for extra care. You can choose from three unique facilities, ranging from budget-friendly to luxurious, depending on your preference.

The enrollment process involves completing interest forms, undergoing medical evaluations, and providing consent. Note that you can pay for the service through Medicare, VA benefits, or out-of-pocket, depending on your comfort level.

Once admitted, you can visit your elder during visiting hours, and can return home if needed. The creator suggests using Lumpinou’s Mood Pack for the mod to work properly. Please read the download and installation instructions carefully to ensure the mod works properly in-game.

Female Elder Skin 01 Light Version

Download: Female Elder Skin 01 Light Version

The Female Elder Skin 01 Light Version is a highly detailed custom skin designed to give your elder Sim a realistic aged appearance from head to toe. The facial features include subtle wrinkles, soft under-eye folds, defined nasolabial lines, and gentle sagging around the jaw. The body exhibits visible signs of aging with a sagging chest, a slightly drooping belly, and creased skin around the neck and shoulders.

This skin is available in 19 light colors, and you can get the dark version here.

Vanya Skin

Download: Vanya Skin

If you’re looking for a rugged and detailed elder male skin for your Sim, get the Vanya Skin. It’s a full-body skin overlay with age-specific detailing, like deep-set wrinkles, textured pores, and expressive aging around the eyes, forehead, and mouth. The details extend to the rest of the body with fine body hair, visible texture across the chest and torso, and slight sagging.

You’ll find this skin in 40 shades with five overlay options, plus a separate overlay in 15 colors and three face styles. This set is slider-compatible and was updated for the Werewolves patch.

Anna Bonnet Hat

The Anna Bonnet Hat is a beautifully crafted historical hat that you can use to complete your elderly Sim’s periodic look. It’s designed with a wide brim, a structured bonnet shape, gathered ribbon detailing, and an elegant bow tie to secure the hat.

The bonnet hat is available in 12 swatches, and is hat slider compatible, meaning you can adjust its position to fit different hairstyles and head shapes. This hat evokes a vintage, pastoral elegance perfect for historical gameplay or cottagecore aesthetics.

The eyebag overlay is available for male and female Sims in five shades. I suggest using it to showcase the early signs of aging.

An elder Sim’s gameplay isn’t complete without a vintage dress, and my favorite is this Retrograde Dress. It’s a long, flowy dress with a flattering cut and a cinched waist. It’s paired with a lightweight bolero for an added touch of style.

You’ll find the dress in 30 swatches – 15 of which are modern floral prints and the other 15 are more vintage-style florals. You can download the merged or unmerged version of the dress in the post’s description.

Eye Wrinkles Package

If you want to add subtle signs of age and emotion to your Sim’s face, the Eye Wrinkles Package is the perfect set. This skin detail contains eight unique combinations of under-eye wrinkles and crow’s feet, which give your Sim a realistic aged appearance.

You can use the wrinkles on all genders and human skin types, increasing your styling options in CAS. I recommend using this skin detail to convey old age, fatigue, wisdom, or a life filled with laughter. You’ll find it under the forehead section in the Skin detail category in CAS.

Grandma’s Crocheted Vests

Grandma’s Crocheted Vest is a wholesome and charming vest designed for elderly Sims. This cozy top is available in two styles: one colored and layered over a white shirt, and the other plain and worn over a colorful undershirt.

Each vest is available in nine swatches, including white, leafy green, pink, and purple, giving you multiple colors to choose from. You’ll find a link to the male version of the chest here. I recommend using this vest to dress your elder Sim for tea parties.

Dress Granny Dark Blue

If your Sim is the type to never miss a Sunday church service or hosts the classiest book club in town, the Dress Granny Dark Blue is their go-to outfit. This elegant, modest ensemble features a white button-up cardigan paired with a navy blue dress. Granny’s Greatest Hits

The Granny’s Greatest Hits is a delightful clutter collection you can use to add a dose of nostalgic charm to your elderly Sim’s space. It contains 15 cozy decorative pieces, including an antique-style end table, floral decorative plates, a gramophone, jewelry, colorful balls of wool, a decor dove, and a ceramic cachepot.

Walking Cane Poses

I couldn’t find many elderly poses, which is a bummer, except for this Walking Cane Pose. It contains five stylish poses, each capturing a different moment in stride. For example, there’s one where you Sim tips their hat with flair, one foot behind, while holding a cane.

Note that you need a walking stick and a hat for this pose to work. You also need Pose Player and Teleport any Sim. Please read the instructions in the Notes section to ensure the pose works correctly.

Beige Walking Stick Basket

Download: Beige Walking Stick Basket

The Beige Walking Stick Basket is a cylindrical basket with a handmade woven design for placing all your elderly Sim’s walking sticks. This basket has a vintage feel. You can place the basket in the entryway for easy access.
