To turn any home into a haunted house, you’ll need the Paranormal Stuff Pack. Go into Build/Buy mode, open the Lot Info Panel in the top-left corner, and switch the Lot Type to Haunted House Residential.

Once you’ve applied the haunted house lot type, the game will automatically add paranormal activity like flickering lights, cursed dolls, and nightly ghost visits. Remember to maintain spiritual balance in your haunted house to keep specters friendly and prevent angry specters from appearing.

Where is the haunted house lot in Sims 4?

The pre-made haunted house can be found in Willow Creek, but you can place a haunted lot in any world you choose. These are some of my favorite Sims 4 Worlds to play in. Just switch to the haunted house lot type, or download haunted homes from the Gallery and install them directly into your neighborhood.

How to find Guidry in Sims 4?

Guidry the Ghost is your spectral helper who appears automatically once your Sim spends a night in a haunted home. He usually shows up around midnight on the second night, offering tips on calming the spirits and mastering the Séance Table. Guidry also helps Sims by providing snacks and restoring energy when needed during their supernatural experiences.

You can befriend him, learn ghostly secrets, or even ask for protection charms.

How to deal with a haunted house in Sims 4?

Living in a haunted house can quickly get chaotic, but there are ways to survive and stay alive:

Light Sacred Candles to lower paranormal activity.
Use the Séance Table to communicate or banish ghosts.
Improve your Sim’s Medium skill for better control over spirits.
Keep your Sim’s emotions positive and let Guidry help when he appears.
Collect Wraith Wax from specters to create Sacred Candles that help soothe terrified Sims.

Over time, your haunted lot becomes more manageable as your Sim gains confidence and control over the spectral energy.

When do spooky events happen in a haunted house in The Sims 4?

In The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff Pack, spooky activity begins automatically around 9 PM every night on a Haunted House Residential lot. You’ll notice flickering lights, mysterious noises, and wandering Specters appearing throughout the house. The intensity of these hauntings depends on your Sim’s Medium skill and how well the lot’s spiritual energy is managed. Specters in haunted houses can be either friendly, leading to rewards, or angry, causing chaos like starting fires.

Where to find a haunted house in Sims 4?

Haunted houses are listed as a lot type in the Lot Info menu. You can find many pre-made haunted builds in the Gallery by searching “Haunted House Residential.”

For CC and more elaborate haunted builds, check The Sims Resource, ModTheSims, or the creator’s Tumblr pages. I’ve also included a few haunted house designs below that you can download.

How to turn a house into a haunted house?

To turn a regular residential lot into a haunted home, select any residential lot, open the Lot Info Panel, and change the lot type to Haunted House Residential.

Once saved, the house will transform into a paranormal hotspot with the Ghostly Assistance trait. You can further decorate it with Paranormal Stuff items like cursed objects, a creepy doll, eerie clutter, and dark lighting to complete the haunted vibe.

Where to find houses in Sims 4?

You can find houses directly in the Gallery, which is accessible from the main menu or Build Mode. Simply search by keyword, style, or creator name. You can also explore the house section on MHM for CC homes that fit specific aesthetics, such as modern, gothic, or haunted.

Can I download a haunted house in the base game?

No, you can’t. The Haunted House Residential lot type only exists in the Paranormal Stuff Pack. Luckily, you can still download spooky or gothic-style homes from the Gallery using the base game.

They won’t have ghosts or supernatural activity, but you can mimic the haunted effect with fog machines, eerie lighting, or graveyard decor. For the full paranormal experience (including Guidry, haunted treasure, and Séance gameplay), you’ll need to install the Paranormal Stuff Pack.

What is Ghostly Assistance in The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff Pack?

Ghostly Assistance is the special lot trait that powers all haunted activity in Haunted House Residential lots. It summons Guidry the Ghost, attracts Specters, and triggers eerie events like flickering lights and strange noises. Temperance is a ghost NPC who appears after a Sim has lived in a haunted house for a few nights, causing trouble for the household.

This trait also unlocks the Séance Table and Medium skill, letting your Sims communicate with spirits or become Paranormal Investigators. In short, it’s the feature that makes your haunted house truly haunted.

How do I become a Paranormal Investigator in The Sims 4?

To unlock the Paranormal Investigator License, your Sim needs to max out their Medium skill using the Séance Table and then talk to Guidry the Ghost. Once your Sim has proven their paranormal expertise, Guidry will offer them the license, letting them take on paid ghost-hunting gigs through the Freelancer career. It’s the ultimate reward for mastering the supernatural.
