The Sims 4 Wedding Mod You Need in Your Game: Free to Download Sims 4 Mod for Better Weddings

Do you wish weddings in the sims 4 were more fun and realistic? This sims 4 wedding mod lets you plan & prep for your sim’s wedding and honeymoon!

Weddings in the sims 4 haven’t changed much since the game came out all the way back in 2014. So, if you’re an avid simmer like me then you’ve probably played through hundreds of sim weddings at this point (especially if you’ve played a legacy challenge!)

And now they’re kind of boring. Sometimes, I’ll even have my sims elope just because I don’t care to go through the entire wedding event process.

But after downloading Caradriel’s Wedding Sims 4 Mod, my wedding gameplay is SO MUCH more fun!

I did briefly talk about this mod in my Sims 4 Event Mods post, so be sure to check that out if you want even more fun events in the sims 4.

However, in this post, I’m going to take you through the basic features of this mod, where to download it, how to find wedding cc, and some things that I would love to see improved in the future.

This post is all about the sims 4 wedding mod.

Sims 4 Wedding Mod

This wedding mod allows you to go way more in-depth when it comes to wedding planning, interacting with your future husband or wife, and going on a honeymoon.

As I said, this is going to be a basic overview of the mod. I won’t spoil too much because I like to leave a few surprises for my readers so that there’s still something for you to explore after downloading.

Before we get into the nitty-gritty of the mod overview, here’s a link to download the mod:

How to Plan a Wedding in Sims 4 with My Wedding Mod

To use the features of this mod, you’ll need a couple that’s already engaged. Once your sims are engaged, then you’ll see a new option called ‘My Wedding‘ when you click on your future spouse, your sim, or on the computer.

One of the major parts of this mod is having a hand in the wedding planning process which you can find under ‘Wedding Planner‘. This includes going with your fiance to the:

• Bakery
• Wine Specialist
• Wedding Salon
• Catering
• jeweler
• Ceremony Process

Once you have your sims go to one of those places, your sims will disappear for a bit and come back with specific buffs related to that part of the wedding planning process.

You’ll also have new wedding social interactions for both the future spouse and with friends. The social interactions are different for each, but some examples include:

• talk about wedding budget
• talk about wedding guest list
• complain about wedding stress
• annouce the wedding date
• talk about wedding theme

And many more! There are also a few new mean interactions that I’ll let you discover on your own. Be sure to check those out if you like spicy drama in your game.🌶️

All of the interactions come with unique buffs to create better storytelling and realistic sims 4 gameplay (Yay!)

Next, your sims can discuss a marriage contract, visit a lawyer, and sign a prenup. All of which is totally optional, but maybe a good preventive measure for those wealthy sims.

If you click on one of your sims, you’ll also notice a new ‘Wedding Reservation‘ menu option. This is used for calling and booking wedding-related reservations like salon appointments and a wedding venue.

Finally, your sim can get on the computer and go online shopping for their wedding. They’ll be able to buy flower arrangements, wedding decorations, and wedding invitations for a healthy amount of simoleons.

Unfortunately, the wedding invitations are the only thing that show up in your sim’s inventory after purchasing.

Once they are in their inventory, you can click on them and your sim can actually send wedding invitations in the mail.

Another portion of this mod that I haven’t touched on is SimBook. I personally didn’t find it that necessary. I don’t think that it needed to be added to this mod.

The SimBook feature allows you to be a part of online wedding groups and publish a wedding registry, all of which doesn’t have a very big impact on the game.

I think that it could be a really great mod on its’ own if it was more fleshed out.

Something to note is that this mod is purely focused on before and after the wedding. You’ll go into social events and plan the wedding as normal then proceed with the honeymoon content of the mod.

Sims 4 Honeymoon Mod

After your sims are married, you’ll now have the option of ordering a marriage certificate. Once you do that, it will appear in your sim’s inventory.

Not only that but when using the computer, your sim can order a wedding photo album or order world-specific travel guides for their upcoming honeymoon.

To book your honeymoon, you’ll need a computer and to decide between the luxury honeymoon or the budget-friendly.

If you want a budget-friendly honeymoon, plan a social event and you’ll see the honeymoon event option.

But for a more upscale honeymoon, you’ll need to purchase plane tickets and book the hotel on the computer. Both of which cost a substantial amount of simoleons.

While on the honeymoon (and before), your sims can use some of the new social interactions that are unlocked after getting married. These include:

• enthuse about honeymoon
• talk about moving out
• talk about wedding party
• share happiness about wedding
• reminisce about first date

Each of the social interactions is followed by cute, story-specific buffs. Then your couple can get back to what a honeymoon is really about…

Sims 4 Wedding Mod Improvements

Here are a few things that I would love to see improved with this mod in future updates:

• When you buy wedding decorations or floral arrangements, they show up in your sim’s inventory like the wedding invitations.
• When you book your stay for the honeymoon, it counts towards the price of renting a home in the vacation world.
• Have SimBook as it’s own mod with more features.
