Merfolk in The Sims 4 are truly magical and beautiful creatures.
Unfortunately, we just did not get nearly enough content for them with Island Living.
So, to supplement that lack of content, I’ve put together a list of the best cc for mermaids including hair, tails, tops, furniture, makeup, and even poses!
Unlike most of my other posts, not all of it is maxis match mermaid cc, because it can be hard to find. Some of it is alpha cc, but it’s still GREAT quality.

1. Sims 4 Mermaid Tail CC Pack by Beeyu
So, you’ve got Island Living and you’re loving being a mermaid, but something about the tails just isn’t doing it for you.
You’re in luck! These mermaid tail recolors are just the thing you need to get you excited about swimming in the ocean again.
The download comes with 20 awesome new tail colors and patterns for your fishy friends.
2. Wavy Sims 4 Mermaid Hair by kamirri
After a long day of swimming in the ocean, you can still look flawless with this sims 4 mermaid hair cc.
The waviness and braids are exactly what I imagine when I picture the perfect mermaid.
This lovely hair comes in all 24 EA swatches plus 2 custom swatches from the creator.

3. Default Eyes for Mermaids by Aveira
…Sorry… I’m here, these eyes are just absolutely entrancing.
These glassy oculars are an undeniable way to mesmerize the general public.
This set is available in 9 colors and comes as defaults for mermaids, but is available to all sims with a non-default option!

4. Mermaid Sims 4 Siren Ears by tekri
Every good mermaid has some fishy ears.
Some try to hide them, while others wear them with pride!
These beauties work great on male sims, female sims, and even child sims.
PLUS they’re set up to take on whatever skin color or make-up your sim is currently using.
You’ll need to be sure to download one of the mods listed on the download page, so your sim’s human ears don’t show up at the same time.
5. Sims 4 Mermaid Tails Recolors by Noodles
If the standard tail colors, that come with mermaids in Island Living, are too dark for you give these recolors a shot!
They’re redone in the sorbets remix palette and are much brighter than the originals.
But keep in mind, that you’ll still need Island Living to take advantage of these 76 new color swatches.
6. Mermaid Bedroom Set for Sims 4 by bellassims
Where does a mermaid hang out when they’re not sunbathing on a rock or serenading sailors?

7. Mermaid Gill Overlay Skin CC by Simulation Cowboy
Of course, your swimmy simmy needs a way to breathe when they’re underwater.
These gills are the perfect skin overlay for mermaids.
You’ll have a few different options as it comes in 3 swatches. You can also get it as a skin detail or a tattoo version!
8. Sims 4 CC Mermaid Top by Sims House
This is the perfect top to add to your mods folder for mermaid cc.
It really gives a feeling of being underwater with the light shimmering off of your mermaid.
The top can be used with or without a mermaid tail and comes in 12 color swatches.

9. Sims 4 Mermaid Pose Pack by mystelise
Have you ever noticed how mermaids seem to be so carefree and relaxed?
Maybe it’s because they only have to pick out half of an outfit at any given time…
These Mermay poses are the perfect embodiment of that feeling and are absolutely perfect for their next Simstagram post.

10. Mermaid Hair CC with Seashells by plumbobbles
Tie your mermaid to the sea with this wonderful bun adorned with a seashell!
One great thing about this hair is it works for kids and toddlers too, so it’s also a great hairstyle for a vacation to Sulani.
There are 2 downloads linked on the downloads page and you’ll need to grab them both.
11. Sims 4 Eyelashes for Mermaids by Giulietta Sims
All of these bright colors scream mermaid to me, so I guess the creator did a fantastic job!
These eyelashes were actually included in my list of the best sims 4 eyelashes because of how great they are.
They come in 12 different swatches and work best with the highest graphic settings.
12. Sims 4 Mermaid CC Clothes Pack by oydis
This entire pack is FILLED with sea-inspired items.
They all give me a “mermaid’s night out” kind of a vibe.
With or without a tail your mermaid won’t feel like a fish out of water as long as they have these fishionable items.
The downloads page has 27 different downloads, including variations of the same item.

13. Sims 4 CC Mermaid Gloves by Red Ear Cat
These are the perfect addition to your mermaid’s tail and scaly top.
They are maxis match, come in 21 EA swatches, and really tie the whole look together!
Like with a lot of stuff in this post, in order to use this particular sims 4 cc, you will need to have the Island Living pack.
The gloves are available in 3 different lengths, so you can decide just how fishy you want your arms to be.
14. Sims 4 Mermaid Starfish Top by DanSimsFantasy
Look at the colors on these. They’re AMAZING!
The amount of detail that went into these is also very noteworthy.
Your mermaid is truly one with the ocean when wearing this starfish bra!
You’ll have the option of 24 different colors to choose from once you grab the download.
15. Sims 4 Mermaid Eyes for Island Living by twikkii
Here is another set of default eyes for your Island Living mermaids.
These have irregular pupil shapes and uniquely colored irises.
There are 8 different eyes to choose from, including an ominous all-black version of the eye.
16. Mermaid Tails & Tops CC Recolors by cosmicamos
Please tell me you’re looking for some bright, beautiful color choices for your mermaid tails and tops…
If so, you’re in the right place!
While these don’t cover the fancy patterns, I don’t think you’ll miss them when you see how amazing the solids look.
These recolors are done in the 36 delicious-sounding colors that are the candy shoppe palette.
17. Sims 4 Mermaid Eyelashes by Valhallan
These are recolors of my absolute favorite sims 4 eyelashes EVER for mermaids!
With that said, you’ll need to get the original mesh linked on the downloads page.
These mermaid eyelashes, however, come with 2 packages, one for male sims and one for female sims.
They are done in 76 swatches known as the Sandwich palette, plus white.
18. Sims 4 Mermaid Pearl Lip Gloss by PralineSims
So, a more realistic-looking, alpha cc mermaid is your thing? Then these are a must!
This lip gloss is stunning and so incredibly well done it almost feels like I’m looking at a real picture, not a game.
These glittery lips come in 60 different colors, some of which are natural and some aren’t.

19. Colored Hair for Sims 4 Mermaids by atashi77
While we’re on the topic of that lovely Sandwich palette, why not get this lovely wavy hair to match?
This is a recolor by HERAIONOFSIMOS. so make sure you download the original mesh!
It comes in 75 colors and is base game compatible, no island Living required.
20. Colorful Blush for Mermaids by Kareem Zi Sims
I love the sheen and shine that you get when you’re wearing this blush!
It feels magical and majestic. All of the colors feel like you’ve just stepped into a fantasy world.
I feel like this could truly be worn by any occult sims.

21. Luminous Sims 4 Mermaid Ears by Zaneida
Something really unique about these ears is they have luminous ends meaning they’ll glow a little in the dark!🌟
The color of the ears should match the sim’s skin when put on, and the membranes between the spikes come in several colors.
22. Mermaid Hangout Sims 4 Lot by Mini Simmer
Sometimes the creator says it best.
They describe this as “A perfect hangout spot for your mermaid sims.” and I couldn’t agree more!

Be sure to follow the creator’s notes when placing to make sure everything goes smoothly!
23. Sims 4 Mermaid Scales CC by Nenps + WeepingSimmer
Wait a second.. something’s fishy here. Oh! It’s your sim.
I absolutely LOVE the recolor of these scales!
The recolor comes in 56 wonderful swatches.
Some of the colors could almost pass as reptilian, instead of fish, which is awesome.

24. Little Mermaid Pose Pack for Sims 4 by Katverse
It was love at first sight, both in the movie and in this pose pack!
Recreate that fateful encounter between Ariel and Prince Eric with these masterfully done poses by Katverse.
The collection comes with 3 poses taking you through Prince Eric opening his eyes on the beach.

25. Siren Sims 4 Ears & Gills CC by Pyxis
If you’re looking for a smaller, slightly more humanlike ear for your mermaid, these are definitely the ones you’ll want to grab!
The gills are also wonderful in the way that they come off the neck adding dimension.
The ears and gills are separate, so you can use them independently or together.
Remember to shrink down your sim’s normal ears so they don’t poke out from their new ones.
26. Sims 4 Mermaid Model Poses by Sams Studio
Is your sim ready to be on the cover of the Mermay issue of Splash Illustrated?
They definitely will be with this excellent collection of mermaid model poses.

You’ll get 14 poses with the download, some of which utilize a lifeguard chair that is linked on the downloads page.
27. Sims 4 CC Mermaid Top by gloomfish
Being a mermaid doesn’t mean you’re limited to only a shell bikini or a couple of scales covering your feminine parts.
This mermaid top is a little more conservative and modest than some of the others, but it is still just as cute!
With the download, you’ll get 16 swatches, but 8 colors. The second swatch is a different version with a more flat bottom to better fit some of the mermaid tails.
28. Mermaid Bedroom Furniture CC by Mini Simmer
If you’re looking for a furnished bedroom for your mermaid sim this is a wonderful choice.
After you grab the 28 custom content downloads listed on the required page, you can eliminate the fuss of placing everything yourself and have a fully decorated bedroom ready to go!
You are able to use the items individually if you’d prefer to do it that way, or only use some of what is in the room.
29. Sims 4 Mermaid Couples Pose Pack by Cazmari-Mods
Legend has it true love is just as strong whether you’re human, mermaid, or a combination of the two.
This mermaid pose pack is a great mix of couple poses for mermaids and their companions.
You’ll get 16 poses that work for mermaids and for mermen too!
30. Mermaid Cave Residential Lot by MsFrankenstein
Here’s a gorgeous home for your mermaids to live in!
It looks inconspicuous enough from the outside, but once you enter you’re in for a magical treat.✨
There is some required cc to make everything work so make sure to pick that up as well!

31. Sims 4 Mermaid Scales & Tails Recolors by MsFrankenstein
Speaking of MsFrankenstein, here are some playful recolors for mermaid scales and tails.
These are the perfect addition if you’re looking for brighter pastel colors.
The download has 6 solid swatches and 5 patterned swatches to choose from.
32. Magic Poses for Mermaids by Cassandra Grusel
For your mermaids who are out to play, you’ll definitely want this pose pack.
These poses will allow you to get truly awesome screenshots of your favorite mermaid sims.
Let them frolic alone with the 9 solo poses, or with their mermaid friends with the 2 couple poses.
33. Sims 4 Mermaid Tail CC & Bra by GOPPOLS ME
Oh MY! Look at how stunning these mermaid tails and bras are.
They’re so pearlescent that it’s hard to stop looking at them.
They come in 25 color swatches that are mostly BRIGHT but the pack does also include a couple of dark versions.
34. Sims 4 Toddler Mermaid Tail by Merman Simmer Studio
Unfrotunately, this isn’t a toddler mermaid mod like I know a lot of simmers want, but it’s close!
To give the aesthetic of having a mermaid toddler, this toddler tail is PERFECT!
You’ll need to first download the ‘no feet‘ mod linked on the download page, then the cc tail, and it should show up in CAS when creating your toddler.
